Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to spend the day among some beautiful cars and paint them at the annual Corte Madera Lions Club Car Show. I brought my portable easel, journal, and watercolors and started painting. Here are my results:

Each watercolor took me between 20-25 minutes in my journal. I start out with a rough sketch using a light gray Tombow dual brush pen, then add color with my watercolors, and then add some linework using a waterproof Pentel Finito pen.
If you have a car and would like a custom watercolor painting of it, please reach out to me – as I do commissions. See details here.
I also placed the paintings in a virtual gallery on my site Galeryst.

Thank you to the Corte Mader Lions Club for the opportunity to paint these beautiful cars!
What can I paint for you today?
A beautifully written post that captures the artistic atmosphere of the Corte Madera Car Show through watercolor painting. It’s interesting to see how classic and custom cars continue to inspire creative expression beyond photography, highlighting design, color, and surface details. Events like this also remind us how visual presentation matters—whether through art, paintwork, or modern solutions like car wrapping. As importers of Oracal vinyls for professional car wrapping, we truly appreciate how quality materials help preserve and enhance automotive aesthetics from every angle.
